Dear Beecher Community,

Each year, the New York State Education Department (NYSED), under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), reviews every K-12 school and district in New York State to determine the level of support that will best help schools meet the needs of their students. This process is designed to ensure all students have access to the resources and opportunities they need to succeed and thrive.

We want to share that, based on our 2024–2025 school year New York State Assessment results, our school has been identified for the Superintendent’s Receivership support model. This designation means we will receive additional support and resources to strengthen areas such as student performance and growth on New York State Assessments.

This model of support will provide us with meaningful opportunities including added funding, guidance, and collaboration with the state and district, to build on our strengths and accelerate student growth. Our focus remains on doing what we do best: supporting our students and working together as a community to help them reach their fullest potential.

As always, we value your partnership and support. I would like to invite you to an information session at Beecher in the library on Thursday, September 24 at 5:00pm to learn more. In addition, we will have an online opportunity to hear information on Monday, September 28 at 3:30pm. The zoom link will be emailed the Friday before.
